War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Russian forces in Ukraine have committed and continue to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied regions of Ukraine, in violation of international law and basic human decency. Russian crimes in Ukraine constitute genocide and ethnic cleansing, with Russia’s stated war aims including the elimination of Ukrainians as a separate country, language, culture, and people.
Footage was once again published showing Russian soldiers executing at least three Ukrainian prisoners of war captured near Robotyne, an occurrence that has become commonplace. The summary execution of POWs is a heinous violation of the laws of war.

A Russian helicopter pilot who defected with his aircraft was reportedly found shot to death in the street of a Spanish town.
Sweden announced a nearly $700 million aid package for Ukraine – its largest-ever – including air defense systems, anti-tank weapons, artillery shells, grenades, small boats, and $100 million for purchasing CV-90 IFVs.
