War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Russian forces in Ukraine have committed and continue to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied regions of Ukraine, in violation of international law and basic human decency. Russian crimes in Ukraine constitute genocide and ethnic cleansing, with Russia’s stated war aims including the elimination of Ukrainians as a separate country, language, culture, and people.
No especially notable atrocities reported today.
Overview
Russian forces conducted another large Terror Bombing attack on Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, launching 44 missiles and 20 drones, three-quarters of which were downed by Ukrainian air defenses. The attack came while a senior European Union official was making a visit to the capital.
Ecuador reportedly agreed to exchange dozens of Soviet systems in return for $200 million worth of American equipment, with the Soviet materiel to be provided to Ukraine.
