War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Russian forces in Ukraine have committed and continue to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied regions of Ukraine, in violation of international law and basic human decency. Russian crimes in Ukraine constitute genocide and ethnic cleansing, with Russia’s stated war aims including the elimination of Ukrainians as a separate country, language, culture, and people.

Overview
According to the Institute for the Study of War and Ukrainian officials, Russia is likely building up forces along the Svatove Front and across the northeastern border to sustain an offensive aimed at capturing Kupyansk before the end of winter.
Germany released another aid package for Ukraine including 10 Marder IFVs, artillery shells, anti-drone systems, air defense missiles and an air defense system, and two demining vehicles.
