War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Russian forces in Ukraine have committed and continue to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied regions of Ukraine, in violation of international law and basic human decency. Russian crimes in Ukraine constitute genocide and ethnic cleansing, with Russia’s stated war aims including the elimination of Ukrainians as a separate country, language, culture, and people.

Overview
Russian forces continue to launch drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian civil infrastructure, most of which were downed by Ukrainian air defenses.
The Biden Administration revealed that the United States had all but run out of funding earmarked for Ukraine amidst continued deadlock in Congress, primarily centered on the House of Representatives and its slim and fractious Republican majority. American aid has been crucial to Ukraine’s success and will likely be necessary for a Ukrainian victory; failure to deliver it would harm both American national interests and Ukraine.
Ukraine stated that it had managed to ship seven million tons of grain and other cargo through its western Black Sea corridor, which is reported to be a 500% increase over just last month’s deliveries.
