War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Russian forces in Ukraine have committed and continue to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied regions of Ukraine, in violation of international law and basic human decency. Russian crimes in Ukraine constitute genocide and ethnic cleansing, with Russia’s stated war aims including the elimination of Ukrainians as a separate country, language, culture, and people.

Overview
President Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian forces should advance the construction of fortifications in the most active parts of the frontline – including near Marinka, Avdiivka, and Kupyansk – indicating expectations of continued and likely expanded Russian offensives over the winter.
The United States has been assisting Ukraine in preparing for Russia’s anticipated second winter Terror Bombing campaign, attempting to ensure that civilians do not lose heat and electricity. Russia has likely ignited the initial stages of this campaign and has been launching near-daily drone and missile attacks.
The Ukrainian SBU intelligence service has reportedly bombed both of the major railways heading to China and North Korea in order to interdict the flow of supplies.
